The iPhone

Once she had to crank it    And got a party line. Then times began to change    For a dial, she pined. Next she got a princess    It was slim-lined, you see, She had to keep up-dated.    To be current was key! Now they've made an iPhone.     It's for that she has asked She says she must have it,    Before her time has passed. She now has the iPhone.    She's loving it I see. Grandma's got an iPhone,    So, Mom, why  can't we?  

Journey of a Thousand Miles

Molly Walsh stared at her  still  freckled face in the mirror.  Today her life would change.  She had a good job.  Some told her, "Your work must be so satisfying, "   but to her it was not.  She got up at five in the morning, saw clients until 7 in the evening, and then went home to eat a cold  supper,  because she was too emotionally and physically exhausted from work to cook, and then she sat down until one or two in the morning trying to complete  paper work,  graphing, and compiling notes on each of the clients she had  seen.  She  would get up the next morning to do  it all over again.  She had no life outside  work, and she felt  her work  life had  lost all satisfaction for her.  She  complained to friends and family how much she had started hating her job, because  she had no life.  She brushed  her auburn hair and said, "I can't do this.  I'm t...
